We have several policies and procedures, periodically revised, which evolve and become clearer and more comprehensive every day, being a success factor for the organization.
As examples:
- Code of Conduct and Ethics – aims to promote ethical values and principles, reflect the organizational identity and culture, aiming at a transparent standard of action across Solar;
- Compliance Manual – aims to present the structure and operation of Solar’s Integrity Program and define guidelines for the performance of the Compliance team, aiming to ensure compliance with laws, policies and internal rules of the company;
- Anti-Corruption Policy – establishes guidelines for dealing with issues related to corrupt practices, with the aim of ensuring that, while conducting business, employees and/or any third parties acting on their behalf observe the highest standards of integrity desired by SOLAR;
- Policy for Transactions with Related Parties – establishes the principles that guide the Company, its Managers and employees in entering into Transactions with Related Parties, in order to ensure the interests of the Company, in line with transparency in processes, legal requirements and best practices of Corporate governance;
- Information Security Policy – aims to enable security management in an organization, establishing rules and standards for information protection. The policy makes it possible to maintain confidentiality, ensure that information is not altered or lost, and allow information to be available when needed;
- Gifts, Entertainment and Hospitality Policy – Establishes guidelines that any Solar employee or representative should guide their conduct with regard to offering or accepting gifts, entertainment and hospitality, such as tickets to sporting, cultural, musical, travel or food, resulting from their professional relationships or any other benefits or similar situations.
Among one of the pillars for strengthening the Culture of Integrity, we highlight the Whistleblower Channel. Through this mechanism, anyone can report situations of non-compliance they are aware of, anonymously. Complaints received are evaluated and investigated, with a guarantee of confidentiality and protection of whistleblowers against possible retaliation.
The Company’s Whistleblower Channel is managed by an independent company, which is responsible for receiving complaints, carrying out a prior analysis and forwarding the demand for detailed analysis by the Internal Audit areas.
The purpose of this mechanism is to ensure the continuous improvement of the Integrity Program, ensure that the appropriate measures are taken and prevent further occurrences. Periodically, SOLAR conducts training and internal campaigns to encourage everyone’s participation and favor the making of complaints.
